Teen Bicyclist Fatally Struck By Big Rig In Cupertino
CUPERTINO (CBS SF) -- A teenage boy riding a bicycle was hit by a big-rig and killed near De Anza College in Cupertino Monday morning, a sheriff's spokesman said.
The teen was hit as he was riding west on McClellan Road near Bubb Road shortly after 8 a.m., sheriff's Sgt. Kurtis Stenderup said.
The big-rig's driver did not realize he had hit the bicyclist at first, but stopped a short time later and is cooperating with the investigation, Stenderup said.

The bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not yet been identified, Stenderup said.
McClellan Road is closed between Bubb and Stelling roads while the sheriff's office investigates the collision, according to Stenderup.
