CUPERTINO (CBS SF) —  A teenage boy riding a bicycle was hit by a big-rig and killed near De Anza College in Cupertino Monday morning, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The teen was hit as he was riding west on McClellan Road near Bubb Road shortly after 8 a.m., sheriff’s Sgt. Kurtis Stenderup said.

The big-rig’s driver did not realize he had hit the bicyclist at first, but stopped a short time later and is cooperating with the investigation, Stenderup said.
