SAN JOSE (CBS SF) — The DMV is opening new temporary outlets to accommodate an expected surge in demand from undocumented immigrants in California.

A state law that takes effect in January allows people here illegally to get driver’s licenses if they show identification from their home countries.

A new DMV office will open in San Jose on December 1st.  Three others are already open in Southern California.
