Magnitude 4.3 Is Latest In Cluster Of Quakes Off Humboldt County

FERNDALE (CBS SF) - A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck off the coast in the Pacific Ocean at 11:13 a.m. Thursday, the latest in 9 tremors recorded in southern Humboldt county since a Magnitude 5.7 quake hit around 1 p.m. Wednesday.

The latest quake centered 24 miles south west of Ferndale, a nearly identical epicenter to Wednesday's largest tremor. In between a handful of smaller quakes, all measuring at least 2.7 magnitude hit closer to shore or on land.

There have been no tsunami warnings issued and no immediate reports of damage or injuries related to any of the earthquakes.
