LIVERMORE (CBS SF) -- A medical helicopter transported a person who was ejected from a vehicle on Interstate Highway 580 in Livermore Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP Officer William Ogilvie said officers responded to a report of a single vehicle crash at 2:20 p.m. on Highway 580 just west of North Vasco Road.

One person was ejected from the vehicle and suffered major injuries, Ogilvie said.

Two other people were transported to the hospital, but Ogilvie said he didn't know the extent of their injuries.

All lanes reopened at 3:12 p.m., Ogilvie said.
