Stuck! Van Gets Caught By The Tide In The SF Bay
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- Commuters heading into San Francisco from the East Bay Monday morning may have caught sight of a van stuck in the water just north of the Bay Bridge, right after the toll plaza.
Apparently, the folks inside thought they had enough time to enjoy the view, but the tide caught them by surprise. By 9 a.m., their blue van sat marooned on a tiny patch of land, surrounded by water.
KPIX 5 photographer Brian Yuen said he asked them if they were okay, and they yelled back, "We're fine, the tide will be back out in 2 hours!"
