(CBS SF) – After a picture surfaced of former San Francisco Giants third baseman Pablo Sandoval appearing at spring training for the Boston Red Sox, the slugger’s weight was the topic of the Top 10 List on the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night.

The picture, which shows Sandoval taking grounders on the first day of training camp in Florida, became the topic of thousands of tweets about his struggles with his physique.

Before revealing the list, Letterman noted the third baseman is a “tremendous athlete” and “remarkably agile.” Letterman then said Boston fans should calm down about their weight concerns.

Letterman then went on to his list, titled “Top Ten Things You Don’t Want To Hear From Your $95 Million Baseball Player,” alluding to Sandoval’s new contract with Boston.

After winning three World Series titles with the Giants, Sandoval signed a five-year deal with the Red Sox last November.
