UNION CITY (CBS SF) — A juvenile has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly stabbing a man in Union City on Monday night after a verbal altercation, police said.
Officers responded to the 34900 block of Peco Street, about two blocks east of Decoto Road, at about 6:30 p.m. on Monday after the Alameda County Fire Department asked police for assistance with a man who had been stabbed multiple times, police said.READ MORE: Storm Door Swings Open; Fronts Stack Up In Pacific Heading Toward The Bay Area
The victim, a man, was transported to Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley with potentially life-threatening injuries but he was treated for his wounds and is expected to survive, according to police.
Union City police developed information on the suspect’s identity and whereabouts and a short time later he was located at his home and taken into custody without incident, police said.READ MORE: Former Secretary of State Colin Powell Dies Of Complication From COVID-19
The suspect is being held at the Alameda County Juvenile Hall in San Leandro, according to police.
