BERKELEY (KCBS)– A UC Berkeley student is in hot water for allegedly using a cell phone to video a woman in a residence hall restroom.

Campus police say the woman was using a coed restroom in a dormitory at the end of last month when someone stuck a phone underneath the stall partition.

She waited outside the stall for the camera person to leave theirs, then recognized the person as another student who lived on the floor of that dorm.

When police arrived, they arrested Alfred Mendez and seized his phone, laptop, CDs and DVDs, which showed additional victims.

Mendez no longer lives at that dorm.
