SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) – A car being chased by San Francisco police struck a pedestrian in San Francisco’s South of Market late Tuesday night.
Police said officers in a marked car spotted a vehicle with a robbery suspect near 8th and Market Streets around 10:30 p.m. The driver led police on a chase and struck a pedestrian nearby.READ MORE: Teen Arrested In San Pablo Apartment Fire; Fireworks Seized

The pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries and was transported to San Francisco General Hospital.

Police have not released details about the driver involved in the hit-and-run.
