GRASS VALLEY, Calif. (CBS/AP) — Authorities say a Northern California man died after the motorcycle he was riding struck a deer that jumped into his path.
The California Highway Patrol says Arthur W. Brogan died of his injuries at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Grass Valley.READ MORE: San Jose Congregation Holds Fast Following Racist Easter Zoom-Bombing
KCRA-TV in Sacramento reports (http://bit.ly/1QNBA4c ) that Brogan was riding a Honda Motorcycle at 25 to 35 mph and wearing a helmet when he hit a female deer Tuesday.

He was airlifted to a hospital with critical injuries, but pronounced dead upon arrival.
