SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) — In a dramatic move by the White House, offshore oil drilling is being permanently banned along a new stretch of the Northern California coast.
It expands the Gulf of the Farallones and Cordell Bank Marine Sanctuaries.
They expansion will include an area from Bodega Bay up to Point Arena.
This is the largest such expansion in 23 years.
