Body Discovered At Coyote Hills Regional Park In Fremont

FREMONT (CBS SF) -- The East Bay Regional Park District Police Department is investigating a suspicious death Sunday morning at Coyote Hills Regional Park in Fremont.

Around 6:30 a.m. police received two calls regarding a body found in the bushes near the park entrance, just off Patterson Ranch Road, according to district spokeswoman Carolyn Jones.

The decedent had a puncture wound to the chest. No weapon was found at the scene, however, according to Jones.

He's described as a Hispanic male, but the victim has not yet been identified, Jones said.

The entrance to the park was closed, but there is no threat to community safety at this time, according to the Fremont Police Department.

Further details were not immediately available.
