LOS GATOS (CBS SF) — If you’re a Netflix user, it could be saving you from nearly a week’s worth of commercials a year.

Exstremist crunched the numbers after Nielsen reported that broadcast television advertising increased to 14 minutes and 15 seconds of ads during an average hour of programming.

They found that with the average Netflix user streaming an hour and a half of content per day, that user is being spared just over 21 minutes of advertising, adding up 130 hours a year.
