RICHMOND (KPIX 5) — A hip hop artist from the Bay Area is out to give Donald Trump a run for his money.

The 35-year-old free-styling Richmond resident recently changed his name to “Hip Hop For President.”
“The reason why I’m changing my name is so I can stand out on a ballot,” he said..

His plan for his first day in office?
“I’m gonna legalize marijuana,” Jenkins said.
His campaign song is a Trump diss called Giant Slayer.
Jenkins said he wants to challenge Trump on the national stage and share his plan for free education and reparations for descendants of slaves. One problem — at least one polling agency told him is he’d need three percent of the national vote to get in on a debate. “I might be the next president of the United States if I make that debate,” he says. “I’m very confident.”
