Snoop Dogg Brings His Youth Football Program To The Bay Area

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Rapper Snoop Dogg's Diamond Valley youth football team from Southern California to James Lick High School Saturday for a game against the San Jose Hit Squad.

Snoop Dogg has been coaching and sponsoring inner city youth teams for 11 years, and is now expanding his "Snoop League Youth Football League" out of Southern California into the Bay Area, as well as Texas, and Colorado.

"Just a great day of football in San Jose. The hit squad just joined the SYFL this year, and we wanted come and bless the teams in the Bay Area and let them know that we love and care, and want them to be in this league for a long time.  So just showing our presence and having a good time showing brotherhood.  That's what it's all about," Snoop said at the game.

So far, three of Snoop's former youth league players have made it into the NFL.
