OAKLAND, Calif. (CBS-SF) – Like one of his fine wines, Oakland Raiders defense back Charles Woodson is simply getting better with age.
The 39-year-old Woodson was recently named the AFC Defensive Player of the Month for October, collecting three of his four interceptions over that time span and helping the Raiders become one of the league’s early season surprises.READ MORE: SF Fire Crews Battle 2-Alarm House Fire In Nob Hill
When asked about the award, the 16-year NFL veteran said he still cherishes each and every one.
“It means a great deal, I love what I do, I love my job,” Woodson said on the team’s website. “It just says that there’s a reason why I’m still here because I’m able to go out there and do my job and do it well.”READ MORE: Rain Helps Wash Away Fears Of Another Devastating Wildfire For Santa Rosa Couple

Woodson’s wines range in price from $250 for an autographed bottle of Cabernet to $115 for a non-autographed version.MORE NEWS: Speed-Loving Los Gatos Teen Competing In Formula 4 US Championship In Texas
