ANTIOCH (CBS SF) – A robbery at an Antioch 7-Eleven store late Monday night took a violent turn as a suspect shot one of the store’s clerks, police said.

Antioch police said the robbery occurred at 11:50 p.m. at 4901 Lone Tree Way.

The clerk shot during the robbery was taken to a hospital and is expected to survive, according to police.

Shortly after the incident, Antioch police stopped a vehicle thought to have been involved in the robbery, and two suspects were taken into custody, according to police.

The investigation is still ongoing. No further details were immediately available Tuesday morning.
