Kerr Pays Off Playoff Promise With Round Of Golf At Augusta

ATLANTA (CBS SF) – 'I'm going to Disneyworld' has become a common shout out over the years by a professional athlete moments after clinching a title.

You don't often here the outcry of – 'We're going to Augusta?"

But that's where Warriors stars Steph Curry and Andre Iguodala find themselves on Tuesday.

It seems both are avid golfers and head coach Steve Kerr told them during last year's NBA playoffs that if the Warriors won the title, a round of golf at the legendary Augusta National golf links would be on him.

Well, Golden State won the title and the team has a day off following last night's win over the Atlanta Hawks to run the Warriors record to 50-5.

"When we won, I'm yelling at Steph, 'We're going to Augusta!'" Iguodala said after Golden State beat Cleveland in six games. "You know how everybody goes to Disneyland? We're going to Augusta."

So Curry and Iguodala brought their clubs along on the road trip and will be teeing it up at the home of the Masters.

They will be joined by Warriors executive Jerry West, Curry's father Del and team owner Joe Lacob. But they may need some rain gear as the Atlanta area was experiencing scattered showers early Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kerr and the rest of the team will be heading to Miami to get ready for Wednesday night's game against the Heat.
