SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – It’s not often one gets a waxed figure made of themselves. For Emmy Award-winning actor, Peter Dinklage, that happened on Tuesday. Madame Tussauds San Francisco unveiled a waxed figure of the “Game of Thrones” actor.

“I didn’t believe this was real, and now I do believe it’s real,” Dinklage said. “I haven’t told anyone but my wife because maybe I’m going to just invite them to San Francisco and freak them out.”

The skilled and talented artists/sculptors of Madame Tussauds created the likeness of Dinklage by studying, measuring and capturing everything they can of the actor. It took 20 artists that spent four months developing the wax “Tyrion Lannister” actor. Now the final piece, worth approximately $350,000 will be a permanent fixture at the San Francisco Fisherman’s Wharf location.

“Game of Thrones” begins their sixth season on Sunday, April 24th.
