SAN JOSE (KPIX 5) – Two sons of a San Jose couple found dead in their home last weekend were both arrested in connection with the case.

San Jose Police said 22-year-old Hasib Golamrabbi, the oldest son of Golam and Shamima Rabbi, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday night in Tracy. The couple’s 17-year-old son was also arrested on suspicion of murder, somewhere in San Jose.

Police said no additional suspects are being sought.

Authorities told KPIX 5 that the department’s Covert Response Unit tracked Hasib for some time, before he was arrested in the Central Valley community.

It is unclear what led up to the shooting or how it happened at the home on Lucas Court, in the city’s Evergreen neighborhood. Friends and relatives discovered the bodies of the couple Sunday, after trying to contact them for several days.

Inside the home, taunting messages on the walls scribbled in black marker were also found.

A source who did not want to appear on camera told KPIX 5 described the writings as pure evil, with one message having a mock apology saying, “Sorry my first kill was so clumsy.” Another message read, “take care of your brother or he’s next.”

Evidence technicians even went as far as cutting out large chunks of drywall, where some of the messages had been written.

The Evergreen Islamic Center said the victims were longtime residents, and volunteered in the community. Neighbors described them as warm, friendly, goodhearted people, who made newcomers feel welcome.

“It’s just really hard to believe that a child would kill their parents,” said Cassandra Nash, who lives near the family’s home.

Hasib is being held without bail at the Santa Clara County Jail, while the 17-year-old is being held at juvenile hall.
