BERKELEY (CBS SF) – Officers with the California Highway Patrol guided a gaggle of baby geese to safety after they were spotted on Interstate 80 in Berkeley over the weekend.
A video posted on the CHP Oakland Facebook page showed a CHP SUV trailing the geese on the Eastshore Freeway near Ashby Avenue early Sunday morning. The agency described it as the “slowest pursuit ever.”READ MORE: 4 San Jose Double Homicide Suspects Arrested; Drugs, Weapons Seized

CHP officers have rescued baby geese on Bay Area freeways at least two other times in the last two months. Also last month, another officer rescued a gaggle of baby geese separated from their mother along Highway 101 in Santa Rosa.
