OAKLAND (CBS SF) – An emotional night for the NBA’s first family – Steph and Ayesha Curry — on and off the court continued Friday with an NBA fine and another outburst on social media.

On the court, Steph Curry’s frustration with the style of refereeing being displayed in the NBA playoffs boiled over as he fouled out for the first time this year, drew a rare technical and was escorted from the court during Game 6 of the Finals.

He was fined $25,000 by the NBA on Friday for his angry outburst and ejection from the arena after fouling out of the contest.

Meanwhile, Ayesha Curry’s frustration from Game 6 continued on Twitter on Friday with an exchange with fans and ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, who compared her with LeBron James’ wife.

Smith believes Ayesha Curry should act more like Cleveland star LeBron James’ wife Savannah Brinson.

“[Brinson] never brings attention to herself,” Smith said on his “First Take” show Friday. “She never tweets and calls out the lying. Nobody, nobody is more scrutinized than her husband, but yet she thinks about how she represents him.”

Hundreds chimed in with their own tweets on Friday — some backing Curry and others Smith.

The social media outburst came in the wake of a string of tweets Thursday night that began with difficulties getting into the arena with her family and culminated in a tweet questioning the league’s role in the playoffs.

She eventually pulled down the post, but not before it was retweeted more than 80,000 times and had drawn the scorn from some fans and support from others.

But then she followed with an apology and explanation why she was so frustrated.

It began with the way her father was treated by security at the arena.

And coming to defense of her family.

The night began with this flurry of tweets.

Instead of being able to watch the opening ceremony, the families were left with this:

The problems weren’t only at the arena, it looks like the city of Cleveland is taking this series pretty seriously.

The families would make it to their seats just in time for tipoff.
