SALINAS (CBS SF) — One man was arrested after a vehicle pursuit that ended with a crash into an ice cream truck Thursday night in Salinas.
Police said Jose Martinez, 20, was arrested for the pursuit, according to police. It started at about 10:30 p.m. when officers patrolling Pacific Avenue saw a vehicle with four people inside commit a code violation.READ MORE: No Rain In Forecast; Dry January Returns San Francisco To Parched Conditions
The officers attempted to pull the vehicle over, but the driver fled, leading police on a pursuit.

The four occupants ran from the officers, but Martinez was taken into custody.
The three other men were not located.
