EL CERRITO (CBS SF) – Authorities in the East Bay are asking for help identifying an alleged package thief whose image was caught on video Tuesday afternoon.

The victim told El Cerrito police that the alleged thief stole a package from the porch of the victim’s home in the 2600 block of Arlington Boulevard, adjacent to the Mira Vista Golf & Country Club.

Police described the suspect as a male standing about 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds with a thin mustache, police said.

The suspect was wearing gold sunglasses, a blue Nike shirt with the word “Beast” on the front and blue jeans.

The suspect also had a yellow lanyard and possibly an ID badge around his neck, according to police.

Officers believe the suspect may have been working as a door-to-door salesman.

A video showing an image of the suspect can be found on the El Cerrito Police Department’s YouTube page.

Anyone with more information about the alleged theft or suspect is asked to call the Police Department’s dispatch line at (510) 233-1214.

After he’s caught, I can’t wait to hear what his parent(s) say about their child’s criminal action. He just shot his opportunity to be an amazon.com delivery courier…

Why doesn’t the media mention that he is a Spick? Otherwise, people may be on the lookout for a nice white man or perhaps even an Eskimo.
