Gilroy Thief Jumps Over Pharmacy Counter, Steals Prescription Cough Syrup

GILROY (CBS SF) -- Police are seeking a suspect who jumped the counter of a Gilroy pharmacy Tuesday evening, in order to steal several bottles of prescription cough syrup.

Around 7 p.m., the male suspect walked into the Nob Hill Pharmacy located at 777 First St., according to police.

The suspect then hopped the counter and took about four bottles of codeine syrup. He then fled in an awaiting maroon colored Cadillac CTS being driven by a female driver, police said.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned male with a skinny build, between 17 and 20 years old, between 5 feet 8 inches 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing between 110 and 130 pounds, according to police.
