SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – A computer outage impacted California Department of Motor Vehicles offices throughout the state, officials said Tuesday.

According to the DMV, the outage began on Monday. While crews spent the night rebuilding the system, more than 100 offices statewide remain impacted Tuesday afternoon.

DMV officials said they anticipated their offices to be up and running on Wednesday morning.

Impacted offices continued to provide driving tests, make return appointments, help out with paperwork and answer customer questions.

“The department wants to remind customers that DMV online services are still available and apologizes for any inconvenience this issue has caused,” the DMV said on their website.

Officials have not announced the cause of the outage.
