RENO (CBS) — Search and rescue rescue crews found the body of a 60-year-old skier who was trapped in an avalanche Saturday morning.

The man was skiing with a companion of similar age when the avalanche occurred in the “Jackpot Chute” area of the Mount Rose ski resort.

Crews suspended their search on Saturday night, due to dangerous conditions. The search resumed on Sunday and crews were able to locate the body of the subject in the early afternoon.

The skier’s identification is being withheld until his family has been notified.
