Fleet Week Navy Crew Rescues Man from S.F. Bay

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX) -- A U.S. Navy crew jumped into action Friday evening, pulling a man out of the bay near Pier 34 on the San Francisco waterfront.

It is unclear whether the man fell or jumped in.

Authorities saw him swimming in the water around 8 p.m. Soon after they pulled him to safety, the man was taken away by S.F. police.
