2-Alarm Fire Burns Home In San Francisco

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A two-alarm fire at a home in San Francisco's Miraloma Park neighborhood was contained Monday afternoon, fire officials said.

Firefighters first responded to the blaze at about 1:25 p.m. at a house in the 400 block of Melrose Avenue. Firefighters were able to contain the fire at around 3:20 p.m., fire officials said.

Smoke was visible from blocks away and people were urged to avoid the area.

The San Francisco Fire Department said the fire was contained as of 3:22 p.m. and there were no injuries. It wasn't immediately clear if any residents were displaced as a result, the fire department said. The cause of the fire was still under investigation.
