3 Injured As Fire Burns 2 Homes In San Francisco Excelsior District; 2 Cats Killed
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Three people were rescued after being injured in a two-alarm fire that burned two homes in San Francisco's Excelsior District Monday morning.
The fire was originally reported at a house on the 200 block of Vienna St. just south of Silver Ave. Flames also spread to the adjacent home.
The San Francisco Fire Department said three people were rescued from the fire. One had moderate injuries and two suffered minor injuries, according to a fire department spokesman Lt. Jonathan Baxter.
A firefighter also suffered minor burns, but Baxter said he was "ok." Two cats were killed in the fire, while a dog was rescued, according to the fire department. A second dog was missing following the fire.
A total of 15 people were displaced.
