Bird Strike Over Pacific Forces Cargo Plane Back To SFO
SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL (CBS SF) - A bird strike forced a Boeing 787 cargo plane to dump fuel and return to San Francisco International Airport, according to officials.
China Air flight 2107 had just taken off shortly before 3 p.m., and was over the Pacific when the bird strike happened.
The plane was carrying 7 passengers.
Officials said it returned to runway 28R and landed safely without incident.
