WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF) — A gas leak disrupted traffic near downtown Walnut Creek Friday before being capped

The leak was in the area of North Main St. and Ygnacio Valley Road and led to street closures around North Main, Ygnacio, Civic Dr., Arroyo Way and Lacassie Ave. between California and Main and North Broadway.

At 12:15 p.m., police said PG&E had shut off the affected gas lines and streets had been reopened.

There was no immediate word on the cause of the gas leak.
