Stockton Homicide Suspect Arrested Following 5-Hour Standoff in Bay Point

BAY POINT (CBS SF) -- After five hours of negotiations, 24-year-old D'Angelo Webb was arrested Saturday afternoon for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend and the mother of his child, Brandi Hornsby, along with stabbing her mother.

Hornsby was found dead in the 3900 block of East Fremont Street on Monday.

After not hearing from her daughter, Hornsby's mother went to her home to check on Hornsby and her child. Upon entering the home, Webb attacked and stabbed her, according to a family GoFundMe account.

She was later transported to a hospital and is in stable condition.

In an effort to relieve medical bills and funeral expenses, the family set up a fundraising account at https://www.gofundme.com/f/brandis-memorial-fund-tonyas-medical-expenses. Since Saturday afternoon, the page has raised over $18,000.

After attacking Hornsby's mother, Webb fled from the residence with his 6-week-old daughter, which prompted an Amber Alert early Tuesday morning. Less than two hours later, the baby was found at another family's home, according to police.

On Saturday morning, a community member sent a tip to the San Joaquin County Sheriff's Office on Webb's whereabouts. He was said to be inside a residence at the 40 block of Ambrose Avenue in Bay Point. After evacuating other residents in the area, the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office Negotiation Team worked to negotiate Webb out of the residence.

After he surrendered, Webb was transported to the San Joaquin County Jail for murder and attempted murder.
