ENTERING THE RED TIER Napa, Santa Clara and San Fr ENTERING THE RED TIER
Napa, Santa Clara and San Francisco counties enter the Red Tier of reopening. The counties join San Mateo and Marin counties which entered the tier last week. 

For counties in the Red Tier, indoor restaurant dining rooms and movie theaters can reopen at 25% capacity or up to 100 people, whichever is fewer. Gyms and dance and yoga studios can open at 10% capacity. Museums, zoos and aquariums can open indoor activities at 25% capacity.

STREET GANG CRACKDOWN Police in San Jose arrested STREET GANG CRACKDOWN
Police in San Jose arrested 13 alleged members on a variety of charges including attempted murder, armed robbery, kidnapping, assault and the illegal possession of firearms.

SJPD said that the arrests came in response to a surge in street violence. The suspects — 11 adults and 2 juveniles — were taken into custody.

The crime wave was not limited to San Jose but occurred in other communities across Santa Clara County.

Among the victims were a number of local gardeners and landscapers that were targeted by the gang.

As hate crimes against Asians and Asian Americans have been on the rise in the U.S. amid the coronavirus pandemic, basketball star Jeremy Lin took to Instagram and Facebook to discuss the impact that racism and stereotypes have on Asian Americans, revealing that he has been called "coronavirus" during games. ⁠Lin grew up in the Bay Area and currently plays on the G League Santa Cruz Warriors. The NBA is now investigating this claim.

This afternoon missing teen Kaitlin Gallaread was found by police in Pittsburg after a city maintenance worker recognized her along with her teenage companion, Tyler Sexton, and notified police.
