SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) – Oscar winner for Best Original Screenplay during the 85th Academy Awards, Director Quentin Tarantino delivers another multifaceted work of cinema indulgence in “Django Unchained.” Tarantino melds together in what essentially is a love story, the cruel topic of racism and slavery while holding it all together through humor.
One early morning, Liam Mayclem screened the film and sat down with the Academy Award wining director/screenwriter, and discussed the actors, the quintessential “Tarantino” music soundtrack and that one shot in the film that Tarantino can’t believe he done on film.
This Sunday, “Django” is up for 5 Academy Award nods including “Best Cinematography,” a “Best Supporting Actor” nomination for Christoph Waltz and “Best Picture.”
