OAKLAND (CBS SF) — Oakland police Monday released the names of two men who were fatally shot in separate incidents on Friday.

Police said 26-year-old Aubert Gholston, of Oakland, was the man who was shot to death near Eighth and Campbell streets in West Oakland at about 11:15 a.m. on Friday.

Responding officers found Gholston shot inside a car, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police also said that 43-year-old Frederick Parker, of Oakland, was the victim of a shooting in the 2300 block of 96th Avenue, near MacArthur Boulevard, in East Oakland that was reported at 11:07 p.m. Friday.

Officers who came to the scene found Parker suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He died at a hospital shortly after 1 a.m. Saturday, police said.
