Big Game Day In Oakland, Warrior, A’s Fans Urged To Use Public Transit

OAKLAND (CBS SF) — Sports fans converging on the O.co Coliseum and Oracle Arena Wednesday for Oakland Athletics and Golden State Warriors games are being strongly encouraged to take public transit, team officials said.

Both BART and Capitol Corridor trains stop near the Coliseum, where the A’s are playing the Detroit Tigers, with the first pitch scheduled for 12:35 p.m.

The Warriors will play Game 5 of the NBA Western Conference Finals against the Houston Rockets later Wednesday, with tip-off scheduled for 6 p.m.

For those choosing to drive, parking at the Coliseum will cost $20 per car until 1 p.m. and $40 per car after that, according to A’s officials.

O.co Coliseum parking lots will open at 9 a.m. and the ballpark’s gates will open at 11:05 a.m.
