Get Your Grub-On at These All-You-Can-Eat Buffets in The East Bay!

Sometimes, having to choose just one entrée from a restaurant is just too limiting. For those who really like to branch out and explore everything a place has to offer, the all-you-can-eat-buffet can't be beat. The East Bay has a variety of buffets covering every kind of cuisine from Indian and Chinese to Greek and Italian. Here are five of the best buffets around.

Named after the Indian word for peace, Sakoon is a warm and welcoming multi-regional Indian restaurant. The Fremont location offers up a lunchtime buffet seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Vegetarians and meat lovers alike will delight in the number of suitable dishes, which include not only entrees but appetizers and desserts as well. Diners may find everything from tandoori chicken to saag paneer. Lunchtime can get quite crowded, so arrive on the early or later side to bypass the crowd.

Located in the Lido Faire Shopping Center, Newark Buffet is an Asian-inspired all-you-can-eat buffet. Dishes are drawn from Chinese and Japanese cuisines and include items such as egg rolls, pot stickers and sushi. The rotating menu also includes a variety of seafood such as crab, mussels and clams. The buffet is open seven days a week for both lunch and dinner, with the weekday lunch buffet a steal at just $10.

Nestled in downtown Pleasanton, India Garden's menu combines the cuisines of both northern and southern India. The lunch buffet is all-you-can-eat and caters to both meat eaters and vegetarians. While housed in a cozy and small space, the restaurant's buffet offers a generous number of dishes. Diners will find a variety of curries, tandoori chicken, plentiful naan and desserts.

Situated inside Concord's Sunvalley Mall is the Tomi Sushi and Seafood Buffet. This all-you-can-eat hotspot is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. While on the steeper side for area buffets, Tomi's selection includes a vast variety of sushi, crab legs, other seafoods and meats. Diners may find anything from crayfish to short ribs. The buffet includes a selection of dim sum, salad and desserts.
